Holiday Open House Invite

Quin's Wishlist

I am almost one year old and Christmas time is right behind my birthday. I pretty much have all that I could need, but in case anyone out there wants to know what I am asking Santa for, here is a small list of necessities and wants. Oh, and hand-me-downs are great too, I don't really need new things.

3-6 new cloth Diapers (BumGenius 3.0)
18-24 month tops/longsleeve
1-2 sweaters
Bath Toys (I don't even have a duckie)
Snow Boots (size 3-5 - I think)
wooden puzzles
wooden train set or other locomotives
snow sled to ride with my parent on or be pulled
radio flyer wagon
toddler appropriate crayons and drawing paper
my own broom to help sweep

Meeting Santa Clause

We went to a Holiday Bazaar in Winthrop, and Santa Clause was there! I wasn't quite prepared to meet the Man yet, but once I got to know him I decided he was an okay guy:

Visit with Great Grandma Bev

Here are some nice pics of my family and me with Great Grandma Bev, from over the Thanksgiving holiday:

November Comments

It's well into November now, we have had three snows already. Here are some photos of the snow man our neighbor made this morning. He was naked, so Mom and I went outside to put his face, hat and scarf on.

We are gearing up for the holidays and celebrating lots of family birthdays this month. Mom turned 34, Kendall turned 1, Debbie turned 38, Max and Ethan 8....the list goes on. But I am next.

I am really moving now. Walking is a bit wobbly, but I am getting bolder and bolder every day with each step. I am dancing all the time when I hear music and love having play dates.

I looks like we will have a white winter, so slap your skis on and come visit me!

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend in Seattle, although we didn't take enough pictures at all the fun events we attended. Here are a few pics from the holiday:

First Day of November

Leaf it to me to have a good time.

Halloween a-da-badoo time

My First Halloween was really exciting, but I was still feverish and not myself. But I fit the character well, banging my fists and all around being rowdy. Doesn't Mom look hot as Betty!

10 month photos

10 months and six teeth.

As you can see, I am really good at standing in my crib and trying to crawl out. I have six teeth and can eat lots of different foods now. I have taken a couple baby steps while cruising, but prefer to crawl since I am really fast. I have had a few colds this month, including and ear infection but so far have escaped H1N1, thank goodness. I have become very attached to Mama lately, fussing and fitting when she walks away or puts me down. I wish she would just hold me all the time, unless there is someone else around to play with me. So please come over and play with me anytime! My Mama will make you cookies and tea!

I am really excited for Halloween. I got to dress up as Eeyore yesterday for the fall festival, below. That was fun but Mama has another costume in mind for the real day. This month has been really exciting with all the changes in weather and colors. The garden is no longer, with all the veggies dried, canned or stored in the root cellar that Dada made in the basement where the old coal shoot is. The raised beds make for a really fun dirt pile to play in. Dad has been busy hunting and fishing this fall and took a new job with the Yakama Nation. He'll be working to restore Salmon runs in the Methow River, which will keep him close to home all the time. Now Mama can settle in more to the Methow Valley and put down more roots since we won't be heading over to Seattle for graduate school anytime soon.

In the beginning of October my mom took me to New Mexico! You can see some photos from our trip below. It was an exciting trip and I got lots of time with Grandma Gina and Grandpa Larry. Dada stayed home to work and clean up the garden.

I am leaving to Spokane today to visit my new cousin William Riggs Schrock who was born yesterday. You can follow his photos at www.schrocksblog.blogspot.com. I can't wait to meet him!

Quin's First Halloween

Quin hit the Fall Festival with Royalty. He dawned an Eeyore costume (though we were told it's actually a Lilo and Stitch costume, but since we didn't know who that is, Eeyore he was). Quin was escorted by Emperor SNAH and Mother Earth (not photographed due to dead batteries). When we arrived at the festival he took to the Hay Dive the most, but loved looking at all the big kids and adults in costumes. The Haunted House proved to be a success, but Eeyore didn't even flinch. Emperor SNAH stayed up late the night before to help with other Dads erect the Haunted House at the community center (beer was provided of course).

Harvest Time

This load might look heavy, but I'm a big guy, and I can handle it! Look at the smile on my face... You know I love harvesting our garden!
